And by now there are still quite some industry albums I haven’t really listened to. And the following 2-3 years, TSFH is almost the only thing I listen and the more I listen the more I am amazed by Thomas’ talent. In the next few weeks I bought all their/Thomas CDs on Amazon and downloaded whatever I could find on internet. I still remember the first ones I encountered are I have to say they have an eye catching name so I clicked! That changed my life ever! Oh well maybe not that serious 🤣 🤣 but definitely changed the way I listen to music. So I started to search video game music on YouTube and began to know what’s so called ‘Epic music’ While I was exploring this type of music, TSFH frequently appeared in the YouTube recommended list. Although I myself don’t play any video games but found the music in that CD really interesting. My son was taking piano lessons then, so I bought that CD and listen with him. I guess I am older than most of people here :) Back in 2015, someone on internet recommended an album to the boys who take music lessons and also very into video games, the album is Greatest Video game music played by London Philharmonic Orchestra. But at the same time everything post- Skyworld has been just a bit more predictable and "on-brand". On the one hand, the tracks don't necessarily have to fit into a 2.5 minute trailer anymore so they have license to be much longer (an unambiguously GREAT development), and you know every track is guaranteed to be at least OK (in Thomas' case, at least good). These days everything is so much more streamlined, which has its pluses and its negatives.

I kind of miss those big messy never-intended-for-public-ears releases like Volume 1 and Dreams and Imaginations and Nero where you were never quite sure what the next track would hold, from the sublime to the ridiculous - truly epic gems followed by bizarre ambiences or hilariously derivative nonsense.

I immediately scoured the darkest corners of the internet for all the industry releases (nothing was available for purchase back then! truly dark times) and spent a couple of really amazing weeks just slowly working through everything they had written from 2006 to 2010. Not sure he was ever more than a casual fan, but that link changed my life. A friend of mine sent me a YouTube link for "To Glory" shortly after Invincible came out in 2010.
